Myspace 에서는 widget 을 약관 (TOS) 위반으로 보고 있네요. widget 이 보안상 문제를 일으킬 수 있으며, 저작권 위반, 포르노 유포 가능성, 상업적 활동을 할 수 있는 widget 은 차단한다고 하네요. Revver 는 광고 때문에 차단 되었다고 하네요.

Julie Henderson, SVP Corporate Communications at Fox Interactive (MySpace’s parent company), says:

If a widget violates our TOS,we block them. Breaches would include any person, widget or softwarethat violates copyright, poses security risks, distributes pornographyor engages in commercial activity. Commercial activity includes sellingads on a MySpace page through their widget or software.

In the instance of Revver specifically, we told them we were goingto block them if they continued to sell ads on our pages. They refusedto stop selling ads on our pages – so we blocked them. No mysterythere.

Also, we have no plans – current or future – to charge a “toll.”Third party widget providers just need to follow our terms of service…
